Scholarship Awards

 

The Broward County Police Benevolent Association Scholarship Committee will be accepting applications for its college scholarship fund. The deadline for submission of applications is April 15.

To be eligible, all participants must:

1. Be the son or daughter of a Broward county PBA member. That member must have been a member for a least two years, and currently be a member in good standing.

2. Be, or plan to be, a part-time or full-time student at an accredited two- or four-year college or university.

3. You must have one of the following at the time of application:

4. Include an essay of no more than 500 words, telling the selection committee how having a parent in law enforcement has influenced your life and career goals.

5. The completed application and essay should be sent or faxed:

Applicants should realize that many scholarships are based on financial need as well as merit. The information furnished will be kept strictly confidential. All applicants will be contacted and an appointment will be made for a personal interview. This scholarship is given once a year. The deadline for submission is April 15.
